Cash change loads wallets
Optionally, cashiers can digitize loose cash change into customer wallets — eliminating coins at the register and giving new customers a reason to join Climb.
What exactly is a "zero-fee" payment?
When a customer pays with their Climb Wallet, the transaction routes through our closed-loop network instead of Visa/Mastercard rails. You pay 0% in processing fees — compared to the 2.3%–3%+ you currently pay on every card swipe. Climb passes those fee savings back to the customer as an automatic discount at the register.
Is there a monthly fee for merchants?
No. Climb is free for merchants to join. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee, and no contract. You only benefit — you stop paying card swipe fees on Climb transactions and earn 2.7% from any cash change you digitize at your register.
What do my employees need to do differently?
Very little. Your cashier uses the Climb portal to scan items and process payment. When a customer says "pay with Climb," the cashier scans or adds items to the cart and the customer enters their phone number to authorize from their wallet. Training takes under 5 minutes.
What about cash — how does my drawer balance?
Cash transactions work exactly as before. As an optional add-on, your cashier can digitize a customer's cash change into their Climb Wallet — eliminating coins and giving customers a reason to join the network. Your register tape and drawer always match because the eFloat covers the digital credit.
How do I track Climb payments and earnings?
Your merchant dashboard shows every Climb payment in real time — date, time, amount, discount applied, and customer activity. Your wallet balance and revenue share earnings are tracked separately and settlements are processed automatically.
How does merchant revenue share work?
When your cashier digitizes a customer's cash change into their Climb Wallet, you earn 2.7% of that deposit — credited directly to your merchant account. This applies to every cash change digitization you perform, with no cap and no expiry. You do not earn a share on cash digitized at other merchants' registers.
